![]() ![]() ![]() Over the years, I have trained clinicians in how to use and implement electronic medical records, written specifications for product enhancements, managed projects with 700+ employees, and created templates for medical documentation. I have worked as a staff nurse and educator in the clinic and hospital setting including instructor certifications for BLS, ACLS and PALS. After graduating with my BSN from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, my experience has ranged from pediatrics, electronic medical records to clinical education. ![]() I have more than 16 years of experience as an RN. It’s also satisfying to know that our client practices are realizing revenue for CCM, many of them for the first time. My goal is to remove the burden of CCM services from a practice, enable their patients to access excellent care beyond the office visit, and improve the health of those patients. Caught between a growing “consumer” mindset in their patient populations, complex payer agreements, and ever-more stringent government requirements, time is in short supply, and maintaining a profitable practice can be a struggle. Providers today are busier than they have ever been. That’s why I’m so excited about helping practices provide chronic care management services! Giving patients the tools they need to make the right decisions for their health is one of my deepest passions. I am a firm believer that if a patient truly understood what was going on in their body, they would be more compliant with their treatment and see greater improvements in their health. This has allowed me to develop a broad range of expertise in operational management, workflow development and analysis, process improvements, and government initiatives-all of which I’m excited to put into practice on behalf of every BlueFish Medical customer. I’ve worked with physicians and medical organizations throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. I have more than twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry as a practice owner, clinical trainer, and consultant. Whether implementing EHR for the first time, changing workflows, or adapting to new government initiatives, my goal is to help every client embrace the potential of healthcare innovation while avoiding the hassles. To serve every physician and staff member effectively, I create a unique training model and implementation method based on the needs of each individual clinic. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to training and implementation. That’s why my passion is working with physicians and clinical groups to implement these new qualities and standards in a way that allows better, faster, and more nimble patient care. Yet as frustrating as the transition to electronic health records has been, I also believe EHR has the ability to revolutionize patient care for the better-if it’s implemented correctly. I’ve seen firsthand how new government initiatives and incentives have caused headaches for health providers and staff members. Kim Turner, Co-founder and Managing Partner I believe a well-trained team of local professionals can provide much better results and service quality for customers. Most Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) vendors outsource data management to cheaper overseas providers, causing a decline in service and efficiency. That goal led me to co-found BlueFish Medical, because I recognized a growing need for a firm that could blend industry expertise and software solutions with reliably professional service and customer support. Despite these challenges, I continue to believe independent physician practices are vital to American healthcare, so I have dedicated my career to helping those practices remain successful. With today’s mounting operational costs, staffing difficulties, bureaucratic red tape, frivolous litigation, and inadequate EHR solutions, it’s no wonder so many medical practices are forced to sell out or shut their doors entirely. Throughout my nearly three decades in healthcare IT, I’ve seen the problems facing physicians and their practices change dramatically. ![]()
